  • C++ is a cross-platform language that can be used to create high-performance applications. C++ was developed by Bjarne Stroustrup, as an extension to the C language. C++ gives programmers a high level of control over system resources and memory. The language was updated 4 major times in 2011, 2014, 2017, and 2020 to C++11, C++14, C++17, C++20.
  • Variables are containers for storing data values. In C++, there are different types of variables (defined with different keywords), for example: int - stores integers (whole numbers), without decimals, such as 123 or -123 double - stores floating point numbers, with decimals, such as 19.99 or -19.99 char - stores single characters, such as 'a' or 'B'. Char values are surrounded by single quotes string - stores text, such as "Hello World". String values are surrounded by double quotes bool - stores values with two states: true or false
  • All C++ variables must be identified with unique names. These unique names are called identifiers. Identifiers can be short names (like x and y) or more descriptive names (age, sum, totalVolume). Note: It is recommended to use descriptive names in order to create understandable and maintainable code:

Requirement
